Sydney Coarse Angling Club
Sydney Coarse Angling Club is a social and match (competition) fishing club that uses traditional coarse fishing methods that originate from the UK and Europe. The club practices 100% catch and release and fishes exclusively in freshwater environments and we aim to make coarse angling available for all.
Sydney Coarse Angling Club members are passionate about coarse fishing, and our fishing environments and we aim to represent, grow, and protect our sport in Australia.
Our anglers are all ages from all walks of life, with a range of fishing talents from beginers to experienced match anglers.
The club holds regular club matches and social events in various locations around Sydney as well as well as other parts of the state. The club organises fishing events at a variety of venues from large lakes and dams to small intimate ponds, rivers and many other locations.
Some of our members also complete in the national competitions run by the Australian Federation of Coarse Anglers.
The Club is a non-profit organization with ALL of its funds being raised from Memberships, Raffles, Donations, sponsorships and in house competition fees.
The club is also well known for its community spirit and our members benefit by from the physical and mental wellbeing benefits of being part of a fishing club with likeminded members.
